I recently discovered the digital magazine subscription service Zinio, and it has quickly become one of my favorite apps on my iPad. I’ve always devoured magazines–I had such a hard time parting with them as a girl, that I kept stacks and stacks of Seventeen and CosmoGirl! (remember that?) under my bed, pulling them out every so often and flipping through their pages.
When I moved to Spain, I used my love of magazines to help me improve my Spanish–I’d pick up my favorite titles from the kiosko monthly, and learn all sorts of vernacular that I couldn’t find in textbooks–it’s something I still do! However, I really miss my magazines from the States–enter Zinio. The app is FREE to download, and I have a huge array of magazines to choose from, including all of my favorites from back home. Expats, rejoice!
So besides being free, and offering thousands of mags from around the world, there’s a ton of other features on Zinio that I like:
- There are free featured articles from all sorts of genres and titles. In the last few days I’ve read the feature article of Kate Upton in Vanity Fair, an interview with Katy Perry in Elle UK, and a travel narrative in AFAR.
- The Z-Pass. At $5 per month, you’re given access to 3 single issues of the magazine of your choice. Each month, you can either keep the same titles, or switch them out for something new. Follow the link to learn more: http://bit.ly/z-pass-ah
- You can keep your subscriptions with you and have them on all of your devices. I currently use Zinio on just my iPad, but will download the app on my phone too!
Zinio has kindly offered to give away subscriptions to 9 of my readers, and the best part is this giveaway is open to EVERYONE! Please click the link below to enter:
Disclosure: Zinio gave me a free subscription in exchange for running this giveaway.
