The novelty of France being a short drive away still hasn’t worn off despite living in northern Spain for over two years now. It’s a privilege I’ve taken advantage of several times; I just can’t get enough of the fairytale beauty of the Pyrenees, and the small towns that stud its valleys, like Bagnères-de-Bigorre and this one–Saint-Lary-Soulan.
Today, we’re going on a hike. But this isn’t your ordinary walk through the woods. This is what is called here in Spain El Bosque Pintado or, The Painted Forest. Sounds enchanting, doesn’t it?
