Agradecida: Thanksgiving in Spain

I have lots to be thankful for this year and am spending the day quietly reflecting, keeping warm with plates of savory Spanish food. This is just my second Thanksgiving in Spain, as I was lucky enough to get to go home last year in time to celebrate.

Giving thanks for the people (and pets!) who occupy my heart and make life something to smile about. For the opportunity to live abroad, even though on days like today it’s a bit difficult. For the recent change of scenery. For good days, and not-so-good days; because those are the ones that build character. For meaningful things, for silly, trivial things—I am thankful.

Whether you’re American or not, I hope you can think of something to be thankful for today, and that this next year brings you even more.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Love the new site design Christine! I can’t wait to read about your travels in País Vasco. Like you, I first fell in love with the south, now I love the north! Besos y buena suerte chica!
